Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment
What is PRP?
PRP is your blood plasma that has been enriched with platelets. As a concentrated source of your own platelets, PRP contains (and releases through degranulation) several different growth factors that stimulate healing. We can utilize PRP in almost any of our cosmetic procedures to improve results and healing time, as well as for certain orthopedic applications.
How it works
PRP can stimulate the regeneration of healthy tissue without damaging cartilage and tendons by using your own plasma. Injecting areas of inflammation or tissue damage with high concentrations of platelets can stimulate wound healing.
PRP can also be applied topically after a laser rejuvenation procedure.
